One area personal injury law firm discovers a way to teach people how to avoid injuries.
"Our mission is to provide people with ways to keep their families safer. We prefer they avoid injuries rather than have to call us after being injured."
Adam Sperling, Esq.
Personal injury attorneys are not known for turning potential clients away. Indeed, most are perceived to be over eager to represent injured victims. So when a law firm finds a way to help its clients avoid injuries, it's news!
The law firm of Anzellotti, Sperling, Pazol & Small has represented victims of injury and neglect for nearly half a century. They have championed the cause of those seriously injured by someone else's deliberate or unintentional act. As partner Ilan Wexler says, "We've fought vigorously for the rights of injured people and have helped them in their struggle with physical pain and psychological anguish. Often times physicians and harassing creditors don't understand the depth of their distress. We've fought for them as they faced the problems of not being able to go back to work, or of being forced to go back to work before they are physically healed". Wexler says that he and his firm were trying to figure out a way to help people before their firm's services were needed, since many injuries are avoidable. "Despite any recovery we may obtain for our clients, time lost from work, with family, and spent in pain, is something that can never be fully compensated."
Thus, came the law firm's commitment to help area families avoid as many injury-causing situations as possible. To that end, they spent months researching and reviewing public information about injury prevention. They combined this information with the knowledge gained during their years of experience with injury victims and launched a special, new Web site, asps2BeSafe.com so that the fruit of their labor can be readily available to Mahoning Valley families.
"The truth is," partner Adam Sperling underscores, "there is something better, more satisfying and more valuable than representing victims after they have been injured, and that's to help them prevent injuries in the first place!"
The firm hired marketing communication specialists Rubenstein Associates to create an all-inclusive, community service Web site focusing on the prevention of a variety of avoidable injuries. In conjunction with the Liberty Township-based marketing firm, Anzellotti, Sperling, Pazol & Small produced a series of television announcements urging people to live more carefully and encouraging them to learn how to avoid injuries of all kinds by logging on to asps2BeSafe.com.
Wexler went on to say, "We'll always be here for injury victims if and when the need arises, and there's no one who will fight harder for injured victims than the lawyers at our firm, but as the saying goes ‘an ounce of prevention is always worth a pound of cure'."
